Digital
DVI Extender
The
Digital DVI Extender enables you to remotely locate
your monitor, keyboard and other peripheral devices
up to 10 km from the CPU. Digital extension technology
ensures perfect image quality no matter
how far you extend!
As flat panel displays become more widely used it is natural to drive them digitally through their DVI interface to obtain optimum image quality. DDXi supports DVI extension up to resolutions of 1600 x 1200 to ensure the benefits of using DVI are maintained even if you locate your monitor 10 km away!
All
combinations of DVI and VGA (graphics cards and
monitors) are supported, allowing equipment
to be mixed. You could use DDXi today to extend
(with perfect image quality) your existing SVGA
equipment. If you later purchase a DVI monitor
you can use it with DDXi even though your computer
is equipped with a VGA graphic card. When you
finally upgrade to a DVI graphic card, DDXi will
continue to extend your system without any reconfiguration.

KVM
X-tender
The
KVM X-tender allows you to extend RGB or digital
video, keyboard, mouse, serial and audio signals
up to 500 meters over two strands of fibre.
The video source can be either Analog (RGBHV) or Digital (DVI), a first in the industry. The X-tender provides support for keyboard/mouse and serial (RS232) and stereo audio. All signals are digitized and transmitted over two fibers, then reconstituted transparently by the receiver.
The KVM X-tender enables you to change your video input without impacting your monitor or projector. Even if you upgrade your source to digital video you can still use your analog monitor or projector. Conversely, if your source video is analog you can upgrade your monitors to digital flat panels. The KVM X-tender lets you upgrade equipment systematically and with minimal disruption to your work environment.
If
you currently use fiber to extend your desktop
signals you may be using four or more fibers per
link. By replacing your present extension systems
with the KVM X- tender you will be able to increase
your number of users without increasing your fiber
infrastructure, saving you time and money!
